Agriculture in Thailand

Agriculture is the backbone of the country. It plays an important role in the creation of national income in solving the problem of unemployment in rural areas, and maintain balance in the national food chain. Rice is the staple food in Thailand. Thai farmers focus more on the rice fields and was one of its most important export products.

Rice is grown mainly in central Thailand. Thai Farmers worked all year, and after the annual harvest Season for the second or sometimes focus on animal husbandry or a plan for growing fish. Thailand is known for its vast fertile land and a generous amount of fresh air to water. It is said that Asia has the most fertile land in Thailand is also "called" rice bowl.
